Shigaraki is situated in the heart of the Japanese Islands,
and is one of the six oldest pottery centers in Japan.

The work featured here comes primarily from Anagama
style kilns, the oldest style kiln in Japan.

KAMATAKI MOVIE
Canadian movie director, Claude Gagnon, shot his movie titled "KAMATAKI" last year.
It was shot on location in Shigaraki town and at Shiho Kanzaki's studio.
KAMATAKI received five prizes at the 29th World Film Festival of Montreal.
